Full truth

Broadening the perspective and letting in more information is the way to solve problems, rather than try to work out a solution within a given framework.
Eventually there is no truth except the full truth.
The society is based on combination of truth and power, and the effects are sometimes strange with unlikely winners and losers. The ideal society is based only on truth.
One reason why the society is not already based on truth is that truth is difficult to see. There is a natural problem. This is traditionally increased by human secrecy, bad communication and will to deceive.
However, with the increasing interest in the workings of mind, the last obstacle to awareness is challenged.
Understanding the different functions of mind, including the extremely elusive but powerful long term effects, will clear the way to a just and free world.

Good 2

Mind is the decisive dimension of everything, and we need to respect mind in order to get a good life. It is possible to get a good life. Not easy and not always socially correct, but possible.
Our mind is naturally deceptive. There are so many things and reactions that feel fine but are bad. To sort out the bad reactions and concentrate on the good ones is an art.
It is also a rational process. If we study the workings in our mind we can see what is constructive and what is destructive. And we can choose the good - after some time. Eventually we can learn to do the right from the beginning.
Typical for a society that does not respect mind and its long term effects is the idea that we can get the good by doing bad. Bad methods - from ignorant ones and lying to violence and killings - can give immediate effects which seem good for some individual in some perspective. In the long run and in the perspective of all, the effects will be bad.
Normally we relate a lot to the external, mainly material world. OK. We can do that, and we can still build a nice mind. We get a nice mind by compassion. However, if we try to conquer an external reality we often try violence rather than compassion. Then we lose.
This is not a natural law in the external world. We might win on the external level.
It is a natural law on the level of mind, that good gives good.

Long term effects 2

We move in circles...we are like electrons circling around a nucleus, returning to and leaving, returning to and leaving the different places along the circuit, always on the go, but not going very far. And even if we travel far, we are likely to meet our long time neighbours on the most remote places...
Sometimes we feel we leave a place or situation for good - but it is difficult. We might succeed for some time, but then the memories return and the people, and the places, and the feelings, and everything we left...
Even the criminal returns to the place of the crime, it is said.
The longer we live, the more obvious it gets that we move in circles and that we return to events that happened to us or that we initiated. When we return something is waiting for us for good or bad.
The first time we visit a place we are quite free. When we return it is to a cage, made from our own actions there. There are nice cages and bad ones.
Our own actions decide. We can do good things in bad circumstances, and we can do bad things in good circumstances. There are more variations.
It is difficult to know the power of ones own actions. Two people in very similar situations might form very different cages.
We have free will and we can have any ambition any time, but we can not always realize our ambitions. Blocks and possibilities created by earlier actions might look incomprehensible for others.
