How to deal with the resistance of mind?
When we want mind to do new things, it usually does not bother to respond. It is like talking to a wall. No one is home.
Maybe we could use the brain as a symbol for mind.
In the brain, activity is activity between cells. If we start a new project, there are no cells for this function. It feels like talking to a wall. No one is home.
If we try again the next day, the response might be a bit better. Connections between cells are beginning to open up.
The more we try and the more we ask for this new function to work, the more cells and connections will open up.
Eventually - after half a year at least - we might have broken new land in the brain for this subject. Then we easily can assimilate new knowledge. If it was a new language we were learning, the first words were difficult but now we understand new words immediately ... and we understand the spelling ... and the grammar... and we can talk!
