Real fun 2

Reality is better than illusion, but the forces keeping us in illusion are strong.
In the political debate it is easier to accept and endorse the preconceptions of the voters than to challenge them.
Often we love our preconceptions and we feel very hurt when they are questioned.
Popular mass media like movies and television used to justify false ideas, keeping the viewers slightly intoxicated in illusion.
However times change, and it is good to see that some political traditions are becoming obsolete. The change in leadership in USA might be very important. A new era of realism would be most welcome.
In mass media, the extreme expansion with all new channels, Internet and other means for production and distribution, in itself opens up for a broader story. Reality is more fantastic than fiction.
